Saw today that the land between Newspring and Coyote Coffee has been sold. On both sides of the back road. Anyone know what's going on there?

If the rumored site is correct, they haven't even started moving dirt yet.

Looks like the Wendy's by Autozone is erecting. I heard a rumor that Fresh Market was interested in the Powdersville area. I went on the website and looked up my zip code on the delivery and it said coming soon. Put the zip code for a mile away from the one by McAlister Square and it just said not available. Anyone know anything?

This is the first I am hearing The Fresh Market in a rumor to express interest in a store in Powdersville. I would not be optimistic on The Fresh Market opening additional stores with its ongoing issues.

The next grocery stores Powdersville will see are supermarket Publix and limited assortment/discount grocer Aldi.

Brioso to open this month, way better than Antonio's.

Is that the place relocating from Clemson? Aren't they going into the spot behind Bojangles? I'm going to be honest, getting into and out of that area is enough of a pain that I doubt I will ever give it a try. It is super hard to turn left out of there to get back onto SC-153.

That will make 3 places in Powdersville with a very, very similar menu. I would imagine that at least 1 of Pizza House, Antonio's, or Brioso won't survive. Given the poor location, unless it is far superior, I don't expect Brioso to last.

Brioso is one of my favorite restaurants in the upstate. Can't wait for Powedersville location to open! Unfortunately, they have a poor track record with locations. The Cherrydale location didn't last, and now the Clemson location isn't. Perhaps both moves/closures were due to rent cost, and this location is cheaper being in Powdersville and being partially hidden.
