If you have driven down I-85 lately you've noticed that constuction at the ICAR Campus is very noticeable coming around the bend. Mostly midrise it seems or just on a hill. I wonder what are the chances of them building a decent sized building there? I feel that its very good.

One of those buildings looks really awesome. It looks like the design may be influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright...I saw it the other day for the first time and was amazed!

That is the Carroll A. Campbell Jr. Graduate Engineering Center, part of the first phase in CU-ICAR. (More information) That building is definitely an instant architectural icon in the state of SC.

As others have mentioned, that is indeed the beginning of the new campus for The South Financial Group.
