It doesn't hurt to read what I wrote. I didn't say in Atlanta, I said NEAR Atlanta... BIG DIFFERENCE. I also noted that traffic in downtown Atlanta wasn't comparable. Again, it doesn't hurt to read!!! I live about 20-30 minutes outside of Atlanta and can recall traffic just as bad as where I am at times (similar to I-85 near Buford). I don't know where you have been the last year, but the last time I went to Greenville it took me an hour if not more to travel alittle over 10 miles between I-85 and Woodruff Road, just saying. A significant influx with people moving into Greenville without changing the roads results in more traffic. We go back to Greenville every 6 months and notice the changes everytime we go, especially within the last year. My fiancee was just talking about how bad traffic was getting there, as a matter of fact.

We moved here for a job transfer from Charlotte in the early 2000's. It was such a relief to enjoy the much lower levels of traffic here and the more civil drivers

That being said, now in 2015, the traffic, angry insane drivers, wait times to get through stoplights, tailgaters, general stress levels while driving...Feel exactly the same here as Charlotte did back when we left.

I was in Charlotte a week ago for several days, and it occurred to me that you could pick up and attach the whole east side of Greenville to Southeast Charlotte and it would fit in perfectly in so many ways. That's both a good and bad thing.

I have to agree with Matt about the traffic (obviously ). Like I said the downtown was nice, just too small for our taste. For someone who isn't used to big city living though, it will be better suited for him/her. If you have any questions feel free to PM me, I will be more than happy to help and if I can't answer it right away I can ask some friends who still live there.
