They aren't connected, but you can go 385 -> Church St -> 185.
They should be connected but it doesn't seem to be in the plans for the near future. To drive the full way around to get where you were probably 30-45 mins?
I would also point out that I-185 and I-385 terminate into the heart of downtown. They don't really go around the perimeter. There isn't really a good perimeter road around Greenville. The northern side of town is going to be all surface streets. If they were to ever build a freeway to connect from downtown or I-85 to the north side of Greenville, the area around Travelers Rest would see a huge boom. Not likely to happen in the near future for a variety of factors, though.
