The Davidson Crossing location would have been nicer for the fact of all of the congestion in the Five Forks area.

From the description of the store, it will be a welcomed addition to the area.

Lowe's Foods would be the first supermarket in the Five Forks trade area with a fuel station and what appears to be a pharmacy drive thru similar to Ingle's.

The Five Forks Bi-Lo had a Golden Gallon / Bi Lo on the Go, it is now the Spinx station at the corner of woodruff and Batesville rd.

The Golden Gallon store at 2601 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, South Carolina 29681-4803, now Spinx #191, was a standalone store. It was separate from Bi-Lo #5057 (Five Forks Plaza, 2607 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, South Carolina 29681-3625).

Bi-Lo acquired Golden Gallon in April 2000 and operated it as separate region. Golden Gallon was divested to The Pantry in August 2003. Both Greenville County stores became Spinx.

Does Lowes Foods have pharmacy? I visited a new Lowes at the beach recently and it was very nice and the customer service was good. I suspect the BI-LO at Five Forks will suffer the most damage from this.

Lowe's Foods stores do not have pharmacies at the moment. It is possible pharmacy operations may be relaunched. It leased space out to The Medicine Shoppe to operate pharmacies in its stores in the early 2000's. Food Lion used the same approach before launching its own pharmacy operations.

Have any other supermarkets or retailers been announced for the Davis Crossing development? Apparently not yet.
