Good stuff! Although I like "walking" the store and seeing the different store "sets" as they evolve, this is a service that I find intriguing.

My friend who lives in Jax. FL has been doing it for a few weeks for herself, but mostly for her Grandmother who is housebound. It can get expensive, but seems, in those times of need, it can be worth it. There's been some hiccups in her order. Personally, not something I would do, or a service I would used unless I was housebound, but good tp have for those who need it and don't like to shop.

We used Peapod in Chicago occasionally; especially when it was snowy! They had trucks, I had a Toyota Corolla so it was worth the extra charges just to get it brought in from the vehicle. Those totes they use hold a lot more than I can carry in one trip!

Whole foods in Greenville also does delivery. Free if you're getting over $200, $10 fee otherwise. So pricey, but another option.

Shipt will be covering most of Greenville County and Easley in Pickens County. I do not know if it plans to serve other South Carolina markets.

Doesn't take much to come up with a $200 order at Whole Foods. Imagine they do a lot of free deliveries. LOL

I recently moved to Greenville from Tampa and I was a Shipt Shopper down there before moving up here. It really is a great service for a lot of different types of people. It's kind of like Uber for groceries. It's blowing up down there and a lot of other metros around the country. It is a luxury item. That's for sure, but I'd say that the convenience of not having to go to the store yourself can certainly be worth it. I'm not sure if they have advertised it yet, but here is a link to sign up that will give you $10 in free groceries to start. http://share.shipt.com/greenville

I'm sure that they will, at least eventually. When I worked for them in Tampa, that was the 4th market to launch in the country, and that was only back in August. They are now in more than 20 cities. It seems like they are spreading, city by city, pretty rapidly. I'm sure they will end up in Spartanburg, Columbia, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach before too long.
