South Carolina GOP chairman Matt Moore informed the city Monday evening that the city will host the Feb. 13 event telecast on CBS, Mayor Knox White told The Greenville News....“This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase Greenville,” White said. “CBS News was extremely impressed by the Peace Center and, of course, the downtown venue.”
Translation - "Thank God we're not back at Bob Jones"
Who do you think is still in the race come February?
I think Trump is out by then.. Tax returns.. He's not going to release them.. He's not required to, but.. I think that's his achilles.. Even though he admits that he pays the least amount of tax possible.. and I don't blame him for it. I can't get past this being a gimmick campaign. Whether he realizes it or not.

Great news for Greenville. I would recommend that we don't turn this thread into a political discussion about each candidate.
By February the field will be narrowed down considerably. I believe we will see one or two of the GOP contenders fall out very soon due to lack of funds.
This is one of those things that makes me not like living in South Carolina. Yes it is kinda nice to have a say in the primary process, but between now and February it will make watching tv very hard.
Watching TV is not supposed to be hard. There is so much to do in SC that we don't have to watch TV. Also, there are DVRs now so you can record and fast forward through commercials.
Bob Jones seats a lot more than the Peace Center. But I understand the allure of the Peace Center venue to showcase Greenville. My question is have any of you who put your name in the lottery (which they said was the only way to get tickets) gotten tickets or heard anything? I'm still hoping for tickets.

Reason: Could've worded it better.
I hope one of our local celebrities makes a cameo appearance, you know, like Ric Flair or Aaron Tippin. That would rule.
I have lived here all my life, which is 58 years. Rich Flair? Aaron Tippin?
