Amen!

But with all the construction in the West End, likely expanding further with the development of the park surely there would be demand for something in that neighborhood.

Grocery dollars and restaurant dollars are separate.

I heard each of Kroger's division makes its own real estate decisions. If Kroger's Atlanta Division thinks it can open Kroger Marketplace stores in Greenville and compliment Harris Teeter, more power to it.

I think both Walmart and Bi-Lo were speculated as the anchor for that site.

A Publix specifically in the Augusta Street trade area could do well.

Grocery stores are the best at studying whey they need to be. They will build where and when the timing is right.

Oh really. I would be surprised if it were Bi-Lo with all the stores closing and the one that recently closed off N Main. I can definitely see a Neighborhood Market there.

In 2006, Bi-Lo was focused on opening additional stores, replacing stores, and converting stores as Super Bi-Lo. The South Ridge Apartments site was new back then and created speculation on a grocer. Bi-Lo has regressed over ten years through the closing of stores and the departures from markets.
