Hi- Could anyone tell me the nicest area to purchase horse property? We were looking at the Greenville area...it looks beautiful there! We can afford up to 375k, and would like a safe place to call home. Is there certain areas that aren't as humid, say closer to the mountains? We are in the first stages of deciding where we want to relocate, and would appreciate any input Thanks so much!!

You might try looking in Landrum SC or up towards Travelers Rest, SC. There is a small horse farm on Earls Bridge Rd. in Dacusville as well that is $375,000. Awesome barn.

The Landrum/Tryon area is big horse country. There are many farms and quite an extensive trail system as well as FENCE which is a very nice nature center and horse show facility.

Tryon has like 300 miles of trails. If you drive on the interstate towards Columbus from Landrum, you will see farms on either side of you.

As everyone else has said, Landrum/Tryon area=great place for horses.

Also be sure to check Anderson County for less expensive but great horse country.
