Those of you familiar with Greenville's transit system: Do you know if it's possible to transfer from Greenlink buses to buses in Clemson, Easley, Anderson, Spartanburg, etc?
My town has very few jobs and if I could expand my search to Greenville, it would be a huge help. My hubby refuses to move to Greenville so I'd have to commute.
The best connection would have been the Clemson Commuter bus from the Clemson campus, but I think the general public is no longer offered the chance to ride. You may need to check with the Tiger Commute / Clemson Area Transit or Greenlink to see if there is any option.
If this does turn out to be an option, be sure to search first along the routes that leave from the connection at CUICAR. Transferring to a second bus will probably add 2 hours to each day's round trip.
There is no 'transit' bus connecting to Spartanburg.

Reason: Add information
^^^^^Right now, I don't have a license. Didn't lose it; I actually just never had one. Every place I ever lived had some form of transit so I never needed a car until now. But I guess I finally have to break down & get my license as well as a cheap car so I can get a job outside our limited town.

That's one thing that can be improved here and they seem to be working at it. Definitely a car city.
You're right. I'm just gonna go ahead and get my license so I can drive to work in Greenville. I'm nervous about being a driver but I see no way of avoiding it since my town has few jobs available and traveling to other places like Greenville with no car is difficult or impossible.
Screwed again: I found out yesterday that the state of SC requires new drivers to wait 6 months after they get their permit before trying for a license. Crap. That seems rather excessive.
There is a bus route that runs straight down 123 to Clemson, it is Greenlink. Note sure how many times a day or anything like that, but I see the bus in Easley fairly frequently.
Edit: I just went and looked and maybe not, at least, I can't find anything about it on greenlink's website, I know they used to have one....

The bus still runs, but is now reserved only for Clemson Students from what I have heard.
