Will be moving to SC at the end of May. Wife will work in Anderson/Clemson. We have 4 kids, oldest will start kindergarten after this summer. We are between living in Easley or living in Clemson and just driving to Greenville when we want to do stuff there. We like the looks of Clemson elementary, seems like it gets graded nicely. Will have to rent at first, top of our budget per month will be $1750-1800. So far it seems like we should be able to get a house but at this point it's a little to early to see the vacancies for late May.
Tried to keep it brief / thanks for taking the time to read my questions
If she's going to be working there, it'd be easier for you to just locate in Anderson or Clemson, rather than Easley, since she'll be going to work more than yall will be going to Greenville.

Yes I suppose that's correct. Thing is, I could see us going to Greenville 3x's a week as she only works 4 days a week. Also, rental properties so far have seemed nicer in Easley than Anderson but at this point it's hard to tell.

Commute time is just the most important thing to me. The Upstate is big and small at the same time. If she's working in Clemson, I'd personally go closer to Clemson/Anderson as theres still enough around for you - schools, amenities, healthcare, restaurants, etc, and Greenville you can get to in as little as 20 minutes on the low end and 45 minutes on the high end, depending on where you end up living.
Just my personal take, but I have no qualms with Easley.

Guess it depends on the OP's priorities; I go into downtown Greenville 4-5 times a week so we moved to a neighborhood that is 15 minutes away. My commute is anywhere and in the Upstate!

Yeah it depends. One plus for Easley is you'd get to avoid that little thing known as I-85.
OP, if you do settle on the Easley area, give Powdersville a look as well.
I would recommend Easley. Not far at all to Clemson and a really easy drive to downtown Greenville. Lots of shopping and restaurants there, as well.
Easley is awesome!
