Retiring in a year or so, plan to visit Hartwell, clemson/senaca..Can anybody
tell me what the lake access situation is around Senaca? I kayak almost
daily, and fish a little too..How available is free access..I noticed a park
close to Senaca, on a county map, is it free??? and can I get boat into the
lake? ( buy the way, last year we took a trip through Washington NC and I was very disapointed in the limited public access to the river...it seems the
only concern's the town had was in how fast they could sell off the water
front to the super rich...They want retires, they want a boost in their economy and they allow their river front to be sold out to developers..)
There are numerous places to put in a boat in Lake Keowee in Seneca. You may want to do a search on oconee county. I see people kayaking all the time there and we put our boat in at South Cove. You can also search Twelve Mile Creek, Devils Fork and Gap Creek.
