OK, so we are supposed to fly out of GSP on Saturday, late afternoon. Has anyone had the experience where it's was snowing the day their flight was scheduled to leave? Do they typically cancel? Frontier only has this flight a couple times a week. I know when there is any snow coming, everything tends to shut down. I know the forecast can change but I am just curious how they handle it. We don't fly very often and never ran into this issue here.

Let's say the flight is cancelled. I am reading they will put you on the next available flight. Well, that would be Wednesday evening. I am suppose to return Wednesday morning. Does anyone know how that will work or how they handle that?

Not sure what will happen but typically any cancellations are first by airlines themselves then eventually the actual airport, delays possible by runway conditions and/or time to de-ice planes(should it be needed). But hopefully with timing you beat it out. Good news is wintry weather currently doesn't look to head all the way through the Northeast (can change, as the other day it was heading into the NE) nor Atlanta so hopefully that will minimize any potential delays. As it draws closer also look up where your plane is coming from to GSP, if it comes from Las Vegas then no impact, if arriving from say St. Louis then possible wintry weather delay arriving depending when.

Current NOAA NWS this far out has us at 30-50% chance of 2.5+ inches of snow/sleet (0.25" liquid = 2.5" snow given the typical 10:1 snow ratio used in modeling):
Colors are %-chance of 2.5"+, not snow/rain colors:
