Anyone have a *positive* experience with an interstate moving company? So many subcontract out to unreliable guys and raise their prices after signing. Any exceptions to this, or is it all just one big hustle?
We moved from NC and used a local company that employs recovering drug users. Had a wonderful experience. If there are any small, local companies where you live I would check them out.
PODS were my first choice, but they got too popular, I guess. Their estimate exceeded that of full-service movers. The benefit of filling the pod oneself were offset by extremely high transport price and way-high supplementary charges. I asked them why so much and they wouldn't reply.
