I see that there are all of 5 school districts in Anderson! Which are the better ones and located in safer areas?
We are looking at properties upstate and Anderson comes up quite a bit for new homes.

It is quite confusing with the various districts however.
We are looking for good schools and safe areas.
Which district in Anderson would be recommended for good elementary schools?

I recommend looking at the district with T.L. Hannah High School, the highway 81 area.

Nice neighborhoods in that area.

Anderson 5 - TL Hanna and Westside. Hanna is definitely the "posh" side of town while Westside is more the "working class / blue collar" sort

Anderson 4 - Pendleton. Never heard anything good or bad. Close to Clemson

Anderson 3 - Crescent. Again, nothing bad but definitely the rural school of the bunch

Anderson 2 - Belton Honea Path. Good school, rural but some may not as rural as Crescent

Anderson 1 - Palmetto, Powdersville, Wren. Can't really go wrong with either 3. Powdersville is definitely the more "suburban" school, wren is good, Palmetto is just fine but definitely has a rural feel to it.

You really can't go wrong with any of them. It really comes down to urban, suburban or rural, take your pick.
