Does anyone know of commercial construction buildings being built? We see a lot of residential projects in the area but didn't see very many commercial projects.

You need to be more specific. There have been plenty of smaller commercial projects, such as retail and fast food, warehouses, etc... built in the last 12 months.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the new Bridgeway project, which is very big.

My family is looking to relocate to the area, looking for Commercial Construction work. This thread was directed at any specific buildings or areas being built up right now that we could explore while in the area. We saw quite a few projects downtown Greenville and downtown Spartanburg. Are there any new schools/additions being built that you know of? Thanks in advance for any leads!

Bridgeway Station as mentioned above is a huge project. There is also construction going on at County Square downtown. There is also going to be construction at the old Greenville Auditorium site in the future.

In downtown Spartanburg there are at least ten or more huge projects planned or that have already begun. Also on the east side, westside, BoilingSprings, Duncan, Inman, and all over Spartanburg county there are residential as well as commercial development jobs available. There are a lot of company’s all over the upstate hiring.

I recently went to Alpharetta, GA where there are huge commercial buildings sitting empty (I was told, due to a mass transition from office work to work-from-home) , and they are actively taking commercial buildings and converting them to residences.

I suspect the Upstate has a similar excess of commercial buildings and scarcity of residential buildings, to a lesser degree.
