Saw a reply in the Hummingbirds 2022 thread and thought we should make it officially official and start a new.......Hummingbirds 2023 thread!

Put one feeder out yesterday & am anxiously awaiting the arrival of one of my favorite seasons ---- Hummingbird season! Please post updates of where you are if you see any.
Thank you Furmanpals for the reminder!

We put feeder out a couple days ago and just saw our first one a few minutes ago.

Also lots of pretty goldfinches.

I have seen a few goldfinches as well but still no hummingbirds!
I'll add an odd thing I noticed. I have 2 birdbaths by a window & every day at about 5pm, the birds start arriving to bathe. Like clockwork. We've started sitting by the window to eat dinner so we can watch them.

There was one at our back door yesterday here in Tigerville, so we got the feeders out.

Sitting out on our patio today. I hear a buzz and looked up to see a hummingbird hovering a foot from my face. It was like the bird was announcing it was here and thanking me for the nectar. ‘Tis the season!

We have a regular! ALSO, on the same back deck we have a pair of brown birds who have built a nest in a plant we have sitting on a plant stand. It has been fun to watch all the activity. We can see it from our LR so we are not disturbing.
