My wife and I just got back from a visit to a new dentist. We only got routine cleanings and were shocked to find a bill in the mail for the cleaning. It was around $35.00 (the portion that insurance [Delta Dental] didn't pay because the original cost of the dentist was high).

Anyways, at minimum, I expect a routine cleaning to be covered by insurance.

Can anyone recommend a good dental practice (Greenville/Greer area) with more reasonable prices for services...where I am not paying out of pocket for routine cleanings.

Thanks

I use the Dr. Sprogis' over near Greenville Tech. I have Delta Dental and my cleanings are paid in full for 2 cleanings a year.

I have been going to Dr. Tom Clark on Wade Hampton just past the Canopy Car Wash for over 16 years and he is great. I have never had to pay a penny over what my insurance pays for routine cleanings and x-rays. I have MetLife dental insurance but have had other insurances during the time I've been going to him and it's always been covered. His phone number is 244-0400. They are closed on Fridays. One good thing is that he always seems to be running on time and I've always been in and out in about an hour.

I have been going to Roger M. Harris on Milestone Way (off Pelham Rd kind of across from USA Baby, etc) since I moved here, and my insurance has always covered the full cost of cleaning.

Cosmetic Dentistry in Greenville, SC - Haywood Smile Designs on Haywood Road. I've been going to Dr. Vahlkaria since around 2000. The staff is great! They're a full service dental office not just cosmetic.

we too use delta dental (i think. my wife pays attention to things like that) through my work. we go to Pelham Links Family Dentistry. we have been very happy with them. nice office. nice people. good care.

i will say that my father is an orthodontist as is my sister in law. my brother is a dentist. they are all in colorado. my cousin is a dental hygenist in california.

i am just as happy with the people at PLFD as i would be with my own family and i have been to my brothers office for a cleaning. he was much nicer than when we were growing up.....

never needed braces. thank God because in my teens, im sure my dad would have liked to have tightened my braces a few times!!!
