Could anyone give me the names of Heating & Air Conditioning companies with great reputations in the area? My husband is a very experienced installer and technician and we are looking to relocate from Ohio and trying to line up a job with a reputable, stable company. We love the Greenville and surrounding areas. Any information would be helpful.

Does anyone know of any companies in the area? Do any have great reputations? Do any have terrible reputations? How is the unemployment there? Here in Ohio it is now up to almost 9% but in the county where I live it is 15%. Well, that was in January, many more jobs lost since then. We really want to move and LOVE South Carolina but must have a job lined up first. Please help!!!!

I found South Carolina itself is at 9.5%. I am trying to look for the area specifically. I know many are losing their jobs here.

As of Dec 2008 the us labor stats are unemployment rate for Greenville/Mauldin area is 7.9%. Unemployment in the area is 25.3%. I do know many other companies have laid off people since this dec.

www.bls.gov this is where I got the information. I was confused as well. One said the rate then the other said unemployment.

gotcha, the 7.9% is the unemployment rate, and 25.3 is the number of persons unemployed (in thousands). Those are preliminary figures for December 2008.
