New Greenville park to flow from oil spill funds | GreenvilleOnline.com | The Greenville News

I think this is great I can't wait to see what the finished project looks like. I wondered why they had roped off this area last time I went to take a video of this place. And now I know why

over near Fork shoals rd towards Fork shoals school. Stay straight until you get too Mckelvey then take a right. Then take a left on Cedar Falls Rd it is on the right just a little bit down that road

The article mentions kayaking. Do you think it would be possible to canoe down the river as well?

Yes, you can canoe in the river as well.

Be sure to thank parks and conservation minded politicians for their support of this project. Also thank the wonderful Conservation groups, namely Upstate Forever, for helping guide this area to a 'greener', better planned future (including the support and planning for this park). In fact, joining the group (a nonprofit) is very affordable and helps support a fantastic cause. Upstate Forever promoting sensible growth and protecting special places in the Upstate region of South Carolina

Has the Cedar Falls Park opened yet or has anyone visited the park? The website says opening Spring 2011.
