I was watching the Amazing Race last night and got an idea.......... We should lobby for the race to come here. The racers could be made to look for the mice on Main St.

What do you think?

JK of course, but the idea amused me.

Actually, I think this has been done on a smaller scale already, if I'm not mistaken. I recall reading a post either on this forum or another about a group of people planning to visit Greenville and "race" to accomplish specific goals using hidden clues along the way. It was a fantastic idea, in my opinion, not to mention a great way to introduce newcomers or visitors to the various landmarks around downtown.

Yeah, but that wouldn't be on national tv. That would be a great way to get to know the area though, I totally agree.

Several years ago I participated in a Polaroid photo scavenger hunt in Easley. The idea was very successful and loads of fun. Each group had a list of clues and a Polaroid camera. The goal was to shoot specific photos indicated by each clue (or as many as possible) and then be back at the starting point within the time limit. Whichever team had the most correct photos (only one photo per clue was needed) won the game. This would be a blast in downtown Greenville, where you can walk everywhere.

That would be a lot of fun. You are lucky to have the kind of friends that come up with that sort of thing. :-)
