Hi everyone! My wife is considering a position in the Greenville area but I was wondering if there are any science/biotech companies in the area? I work in the biotech field as a chemist. I didn't have much luck finding much info on science-y companies in the area, so I thought I'd try here.
While I can't answer your question, my husband should be able to help. He is a Chemical Engineer and might know of biotech companies in the area. I will see what I can find out for you and let you know. Hope this will help!
Just wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten about you! My husband has been out of town for several days.....so maybe by the weekend I can get an update.
When are you thinking of moving?
Thanks, golfgal. I appreciate you responding. We're looking to move in a few months (depending on the job situation). I would like to have a job lined up before we move there if possible.
Kaplan Test Prep is always looking for science pros who can teach across multiple disciplines. Like teaching physics and bio with chem/org, not just one area. Advanced degrees are okay, but essential criteria are great scores and ease with a classroom or tutoring student. Check it out at kaptest.com/teach or 1-800-KAP-TEST.
Also looking for SAT/ACT, GRE and GMAT. Same process. Best wishes!

I would think the place for biotech is Raleigh Durham NC area.
I am a chemist by education [BS biochem / MS Analytical ] with several years experience but got fed up with having to compete with post doctoral students from other countries willing to work for beans with no benefits.
So I wound up switching careers and now work in another discipline. I hope Golf Gal had better help for you.
