I'm looking to purchase a home, almost all the homes I've seen have needed kitchen updates.

Besides replacing all the cabinets, there's also refacing and refinishing, the later I really hadn't given much thought at all about.

Ran across Old South's website and wondered if anyone has used them to do their kitchen cabinets? If the job was good, how the price to refinish compares to refacing, or replacing (if you compared the costs) Time line from start to finish? Any problems?

Thanks for any input!

I have not personally used them so I can't help with the price but I have seen their work and it was beautiful.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply. Did you see their work at their shop, or from someone who used them?

I saw it at a home that was for sale. The seller told me that they did them for her at the home.

Thanks again. I'm definitely going to have to give them a call - Hoping others who've used them will reply, would love to see some before/after pics, maybe they'll have some on site, but definitely want to get some referrals.

Thanks again!

I have shopped there as well and saw some pieces she was doing. She was very kind to let you go in the barn and wander around.

Oh I thought she was looking for a new kitchen up date. This contractor is a designer and contractor so he understand both sides of the coin. His pricing isn't expensing cause he doesn't charge for the designing and planning part just the work at hand. One of the small good guys. He's trying to make the move into the area but he has to take work this way for now. Also, didn't ask for a cent until the job was done!

Thanks for the clarification Beachya. Is he actually moving to SC, or trying to drum up business in SC but still down in GA? I'd like to have someone local, plus, the license and insurance thing is important as well. There wasn't much on ths website. Do you know if they have any local SC references of work they've done?? Do you have pics you can upload to show his work? How did you find them???

Thanks again!
