well any one out there in greater greenville get the shot yet, i'm hoping to get it,but it doesn't seem to be available yet, called walgreens,no for them, called dr office, not sure if they will get it in, told to call local hospital to see if they have it? watched 60 minutes program the other night and now i am concerned for my children. thanks all and stay healthy
I'm also concerned for my children. The information out there is so sporadic.
They say if your children are normally healthy, then they should skip the vaccine since there is not enough to go around. The children (and others) with chronic conditions need the vaccine the most, since it is critical that they don't get the flu.

A box of vaccines just came through our warehouse yesterday,(FedEX) so it is here, somewhere. Seems like they only shipped them out to Major hospitals, I don't know if the hospitals will distribute from there or what.
I work in health care and no way am I getting this vaccine. It usually takes the US FDA an average of 7 years to approve a new drug/vaccine. Tell me why this one was approved within months???? I predict that a few years down the road we will hear nightmares about the side effects.

My mother in law is in health care, and made the exact same statement. In FL they are trying to get all health care workers to take the vaccine, and making it available at the schools.

From my limited and confused understanding, "they" say the vaccine is made the exact same way the seasonal flu vaccine is made, same controls, etc... Also the test group has had no issues, no one has died. Again, this is from the Main Stream Media.
I believe I heard on the radio this morning that the vaccine will be available in Greenville County for public distribution on Nov 11. Not 100% sure on that date...I'll try to catch the news again and update later.
We got a form for the Greenville Public schools to see how many were interested in getting their kids the vaccine. Its being done in an after school clinic for free. No date was given, I think they just wanted to get a count.
I got the flu shot earlier today. My mom works at GHS so it was free for me.
