Thanks for the clarification G-Man. I'm glad someone is finally giving some insight to the progress. There have been so many different stories.

Default Target

Well, I just read the Powdersville Post. According to that article Target has not committed. They only have one retailer that has and will not reveal who it is. Says Windsor-Aughtry will be the developer. It also says that they will have two or three major tenants. They also said that they have not ruled out Target but I guess we will just keep waiting.

My guess is Windsor Aughtry isn't telling the whole truth.

John Boyanoski's TBA column in the Greenville Journal doesn't actually say these places "will" be coming, although it seems likely based upon his choice of words. He wrote, "Land is being cleared and buildings demolished along Highway 153 in the Powdersville area for a development that is expected to include a Target, a Bed Bath and Beyond and a Walgreens..." I am hopeful that Mr. Boyanoski knows the credibility of this is information. On the other hand, we know how inaccurate the TBA column has been at various times in the past.

It seems Powdersville is trying to keep up with the growth in Easley.

I rather think of them as two peas in a pod; six of one, half-dozen of the other - geographically speaking. I mean, once large shopping center would easily serve both areas equally well.
