My wife and I currently live in PA. We are strongly considering a move to either Greenville or Columbia SC. We would like to come down for a visit next year and check out both these areas. We would be spending a week to check out both areas and if possible would like to find a realtor or buyers agent that would be willing to show us some homes within our budget price for a home ($160,000-170,000). Does anyone think that a week would be sufficient time to check out both these areas or would that leave us rushed and not enough time to get a good feel for these 2 different cities? Does anyone know or could recommend a realtor or buyers agent that they could recommend? Any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful at this time!!!! Thanks

I have lived in both places. If you come during the summer months you will find that Columbia has much higher humidity than Greenville! Personally I like the Upstate of South Carolina much better. We have numerous lakes, we are close to the mountains, and can be at the beach in a reasonable amount of time. Be sure to visit downtown Greenville while you are here. It is so beautiful!

A week may not be enough time to adequately see both Greenville and Columbia unless you do a lot of research before hand.
