Since I had a great response to my question about hospitals I figured I'd push my luck and ask about nursing homes and rehab centers in Greenville. My father is scheduled for surgery tomorrow for a broken neck and is expected to be in the hospital for about a week.
Can anyone recommend a rehab center for him? Thank you.
NHC Healthcare has several facilities around Greenville. A friend & former co-worker has had knee and shoulder surgery in the last year and each time went to the NHC facility off Boiling Springs Rd. after leaving the hospital.
I visited her regularly, and enjoyed lunch in their dining room on several occasions. She had physical and occupational therapy there and seemed to me, to recover quicker than I ever expected. It was an immaculate facility, and from what I saw, the employees seemed to care about the patients and enjoy their jobs.
There's another similar facility on Butler Rd. near I-385 in Mauldin that has just expanded, and a couple others in the area. Wishing your father luck and good health!

Old thread, I know, but I am looking into this now after Dad fell down the stairs last week. Our first choice is NHC Mauldin (close to home) but would like info on others if he can't get in there.
Others we maybe interested in include Dayspring in Simpsonville and Diamond Health in Simpsonville.
If you have info on other excellent facilities, please share!
Nice to hear there are other good facilities other than Roger C. Peace. Just had to put my mother in law in one in Easley due to a fall and her failing health. They say it is only for about a week but that place is a full blown nursing home! She went in on Friday and of course, no therapy on weekends. Wishing we had been given time to make a choice. Good luck to your Dad and wishing him a speedy recovery.
We're going to NHC Mauldin. Will update with our thoughts afterwards.
