I'm just totally unfamiliar with where a good place would be to take them. No particular kind of food in mind, could be bbq, Italian, Mexican, Greek, etc. just as long as the food AND service are consistently good.

I noticed a Mex. restaurant where Big Lots is, I think it was El Mariachi, seems to always have cars there - any thoughts? There's a fish place as well acros the street, Flounder something??? I saw an Italian place called Capris but I think it said they were only open for dinner? I'd love to find a place with good eggplant parm. and tiramisu! What's the Copper something, can't remember what the other word is? Anything good in downtown Greer, have yet to look around down there.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions!
Taco Parrilla downtown Greer. Went there earlier this year...food, decor and service were good.

This is their website....for some reason not working when I tried it....you may have to Google their name in order to take a look at their menu.

Enjoy!

Taco Parilla in Greer closed a few months ago. We agree it was great, though I guess not enough people found out about them.

The same location is now Strip Club 104, a Steakhouse. It's operated by the same family that owns Bin 112. It's another nice addition to the Greer restaurant selection.

Wow!! That was a fast opening and closing! Glad I found that out now....was going to make it one of my places to eat the next time I am in Greenville.

French toast made from banana bread? Now, that sounds good! The Avocado TexMex omelet does too! I'm going to have to check this place out? Does it get really crowded?

Nations Bakery in Lyman is wonderful. Breakfast, lunch and a friendly staff. Try to visit every time I'm in the area. A jewel.

I've only been to The Nations Bakery once. It wasn't too crowded at all. Puzzling, since their breakfast is soooo good! I think it has taken over as my #1 breakfast spot now, barely edging out Peggy's Diner(another great breakfast spot)

Wow, would you look at this...count me down as another rec for Nations Bakery in Lyman. If y'all are into Cuban sandwiches, theirs is the best. Really authentic. Fries are really fresh too. Plus they have some of the best bakery items (cookies, pastries) I've found.
