Advice on private vs. public schools in Greenville (private school, tuition)

I know the schools are good in Greenville, who thinks it is still worth the tuition to send my kids to private school? Obviously we all want the best education for our children but if the public schools are really good, I wonder if they'd be benefiting much more from private school...I'd love to hear from parents who send their kids to private school and what they think the difference is.
