Perhaps, although Forbes lists NYC as one of "America's 20 most miserable cities" in 2010, thanks to their "progressive" leadership and ridiculously high taxes.

There seems to be some differences of opinion in the housing market. Our home was appraised for $20,000 more last year than this year and we have been told by both banking and real estate folks that the market has dipped in Greenville, that appraisals are being lowered this year and that is is not expected to recover anytime soon. Not sure where the truth lies, but let's hope the market does indeed recover so those that have houses on the market will not have to take such hits as we're about to take.
