I always have had good expierences with Microtel and the prices
are usually under $50 so I am planning on coming April 12th
I found a good rate on Microtel using
Kayak.com (no affiliation)

Sometimes it a hit or miss with Microtel locations
is the one in Greenville something to be concern about?'

Well, the one on Woodruff Road is no longer a Microtel so i'm assuming you're talking about the one at Pelham Road/I-85. It's in a very safe high income area across Pelham Road from Marriott and Michelin headquarters. It's also within walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants like Starbucks, Atlanta Bread Company, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Joes Crab Shack, Moe's Southwest Grill, Chophouse 47, California Dreaming, American Pie Factory, Walgreens, CVS, Earth Fare, Bi-Lo grocery store, Walmart, Bellacino's, Ruby Tuesday, Chick Fil A, etc. The hotel itself from what i've seen looks fairly nice on the outside. No problems with it being run-down, having crime problems, or anything like that. The residents of that area would never let anything get rundown looking anyways.

We stayed there the day before our closing when we moved here. It's fine, and in a great area.

It is very safe, we had no problems when we stayed there several years ago. But.... the rooms are VERY small! If you just need a place to lay your head then you will do just fine! Like G-man said it is a great area. Close to everything. Be sure to check out Oak Grove Park. It has a nice little lake to walk around after all of your yummy dinners! ENJOY!!!

I hope it's a safe area. It's only about a 1/2 mi from where I live.

Seriously, it's just across the road from the Michelin headquarters and in a very good commercial area advertised locally as "Restaurant Row," although there are other corridors in G'ville that could be called the same. Also, one of the area's most "prestigious" country clubs is nearby.
