We're considering a couple of areas in SC to relocate, but they will depend on what school systems are really good.

What areas, esp. outlying areas, of G'Ville/S'Burg have good public schools? We'll need acreage, so not interested in right up in the city systems.

How was your weather there this winter? Did G'Ville get the intensity that VA and MD did? We had 50" of snow in two falls in a WEEK! What was the worst winter weather this year in G'Ville?

Do you all have fire ants as an issue?

More ?? to come, I'm sure, thanks!

Fire ants are a big problem here.

We got a few inches of snow depending on how far north you lived last winter.

I live in Easley and we only had one or two days of snow. So little I can't remember. The worst was it came in the morning and was gone in the afternoon.

As far as schools, you will get a ton of different answers. Hopefully someone who has children in school will answer that, but I still find that everyone seems to have a different opinion. You can go online to greatschools.net and get some statitics, but I don't know if that will help you.

How many acres are you talking? That will be a deciding factor on how far out you go.

Hi! Greenville County Schools are the best in the whole state of SC, and that is a fact. They are really great schools, like Bells crossing elementary, riverside high school, oakview elementary, riverside middle, and much more. If you are interested in buying a house, what price range are you looking for, i might be able to help.

Default Best Schools in Greenville County

Only you can determine which are the best schools for your children. You can easily check the public school report cards
at http://www.greenville.k12.sc.us/index.asp Click on the schools link on the home page.

You also have the option of seeing which schools are assigned to a particular subdivision:
http://www.greenville.k12.sc.us/district/parents/admin/geo1.asp

You choices of education also include very good private and parochial schools which you can easily access on the internet -

Christ Church Episcopal School http://www.cces.org/
Southside Christian School http://www.southsidechristian.org/
St Joseph's Catholic School http://www.sjcatholicschool.org/
Shannon Forest Christian School http://www.shannonforest.com/

Hope this info helps
