At my Mom's funeral it was somewhat traditional funeral music but when they took her body out at the end it was Ode To Joy. The organist did a great job and you could tell he was really into it. Loud and strong! I got lots of compliments for picking that out.
First- I know I'm responding to a very old post, but make sure your loved ones know where your instructions are. Typically the will itself isn't dealt with till after the funeral and then it's too late....
My lawyer is in charge of the cremation of my body, not my family.
If your want you final instructions carried out your way, do not leave it to family members who can easily pull the "Oh, but....." routine.
