Thanks, Dude111. The Mrs. is not liking the KC Metro (we could live on the MO or KS side, the MO side is much more affordable - we never would have thought that, but it is) much and that might nix this one. It is really built up - reminds us of our Seattle area living, and we're really used to smaller town living for the past 13 years.

So we'll see. There's a job over in Colorado in which we both like the small town and I already know the Manager and Technician there, so, I'm hoping they get to calling this week and that pursuit can continue...it's more of a Dodge City, KS, type of town that would suit us better. Everyone have good Sunday's!

Keeping you in my prayers for your job elkotronics! Sounds like you and the wife had a nice time!
Sunday school today and then the kiddos should be getting here soon after. I have to run to the store before Sunday school and take my dogs for their morning walk so I'm off and running! Have a blessed day!

Oh and thank you Dude for your kind thoughts!

We are hot over here in Kansas, too, cyn. Whew! Mowed my lawn today and hot to de-sweat for a couple hours at least. Now it just needs to be trimmed and the car needs washing - then work tomorrow night. Good Sunday night to all of you all!

We were up late--visiting and daughter decided I needed to make my house more of a home. I haven't really moved anything around since my husband passed. I know she is right but change is not easy. I am using what I have here and moving things around and putting together a donation pile, trash pile and items to go to the garage. It makes me a little nervous to change things...another step I suppose. The kids are leaving my house tomorrow back to my sons to be close to the airport for Thursday when they return to CA. Boy I will miss them.
I had to call my boss because he'd done a whole time change thing on me putting me on days I've never worked etc. Knowing I didn't work on those days I've had doctor, dentist, therapy appointments and other things set up for those days for months. He said he'd fix it for me--It seems weird he never ran it by me before he changed the work schedule. He said I wasn't there when he worked it out. I just want my old schedule I originally had but I suppose as long as I am working I should be happy.

I think Amber is right that making your house a home and not a museum and a warehouse is right. I urge you to take her advice.....but maybe step by step and at your own pace. Think about what steps you could take....if you want to.
