kittycat -- I am very sorry for the loss of your mom. It is one of the hardest events in our lives. Try to take care of yourself, too, as you go through this very stressful time. Sending a hug.
I lost mine last year. Last night after a particularly stressful day, I found the grief came again 100x’s strong. It happens like that occasionally but in general, it will ease some.
What helped me was everything I learned about my mom that I hadn’t known while she was alive.
My mom was a very private person & was never known to “Toot her own horn”. She certainly had a lot to “toot” about though! Part of me wishes I would have been informed while she was still here; the other part of me is glad for the comfort provided by learning after she was gone.
I am so sorry for your loss, My Mom has been gone 19 years, but I think of her everyday. Love is eternal. Look after yourself too, & do something nice to think ( or a tribute to ) of your Mom.
