Hi, First post... my husband and I can't afford these horrific property taxes any longer.
We are retired and have no family here, but it is hard to replace the beautiful place in NJ we currently live. We live in the Pine Barrens with a lake in the back. We are looking at GA because we have a son down there. Never thought I'd appreciate NJ coming from CA - but too expensive to move back there!

Hi Jersey group. I was born in Elizabeth and I'm in the mid-west now so I really miss the Jersey scene. I went back a while ago and I can't believe all the changes. Kinda miss the old neighborhood. I did a lot of bouncing along 1&9 and the shore back in the 80's so let me know if you remember some of those clubs.

I'm a jersey girl who has lived in Texas (Dfw area) for 4 years. Can you say "culture shock?" It is so hard to meet people here. If there are any NJ transplants in Dfw area, would love to chat!!

Hi Group, I 've lived in NJ since 1974. I've enjoyed it but Jersey is not retiree friendly. High real estate taxes, car insurance and cold winters have me Florida Dreaming I'll miss the Williamstown area but I have to go where my dollars go further .

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Having some trouble settling in. It's hard to make friends as an adult but oh, so much harder here. It seems most people up here (south of Morristown) have been here forever and just don't want anymore friends. Urg. I'm staying positive, getting out when I can. I often feel uncomfortable saying hello to people when they look at me like I'm crazy. Not everyone mind you, some people smile.
