I shoot air guns as a hobby leaving firearms to hunters.

Anyone else enjoy the air gun hobby?

I have seen some recently that look pretty good. Some large calipers, I guess they hunt with these in Europe.

"I" leave them to hunters since I laid down my last firearm when I was discharged 40+ years ago. Others may do differently...........

Legally, at least in many jurisdictions in the US and several countries, an airgun IS a firearm. Regardless, it uses the same principle as a gunpowder weapon - firing a metallic projectile at a target.

To confuse the issue also - some airguns are designed to be used as hunting, while some "firearms" are designed to be used only for target shooting.

I guess what I am saying is that, technically, you clearly never "layed down your last firearm".

I've got a Gamo Shadow 1000 with the GTA replacement trigger and an Powerline 3-9 X32 scope. It is a nice set-up. Mostly used for backyard target shooting but I did take several squirrels during hunting season a couple year ago.

I've been thinking about getting a .25 caliber for a while. Probably another springer but the PCP guns are interesting.

Trust me. I 'laid down the last firearm' I will ever hold when I turned in my M16 before leaving S.E. Asia.

Also this thread is about the hobby of plinking and target shooting with an air gun for fun not about picking nits about what I did or didn't do.

What's you opinion of multi pump guns?

I have a couple of Crosman pellet pistols (pump style). I sit on the patio and shoot holes in paper targets and ping pong balls hung from the clothes line. I also have a springer rifle, but I rarely use it.

I have not used one since I was a kid. Used to have a one pump limit in the neighborhood bb gun wars. The springers are cheap and powerful.
