I've been shooting since I was a kid. After years of owning mostly revolvers and one 92F I bought a glock 19. It was the older gen 2. The gun fit ok in my hand but the plastic construction made me feel like it was a cheap toy. Due to the price and reputation for reliability I bought it anyway. While I never had any real problems I really grew to dislike firing it. It was just uncomfortable, didn't point well, felt cheap and I just got disgusted with it and put it in the safe. A few months went by and I shot my first Sig. It was a 229 in 9mm. I was in love.

I week later I was at The shop handling every Sig I could find. I finally settled on the 226 in 9mm and I've never looked at glocks again. I wouldn't buy another glock if they we're having issues. The problems just make me that much happier with my decision to get away from the brand.

When I get a buddy looking to buy a glock I let him shot one of my sigs and most of the time glocks are completely forgotten. If you can't afford the entry price of something like the 226 them try the SP2022. It a partial polymer gun without the cheap polymer gun feel and it's every bit as accurate as the metal guns and it's around $400 out the door.

Glock is the only way to go...

It is the standard for a reason.

But, like buying a Honda (which I have also), it is for the majority, but not everyone. lol

My glock 40 sleeps with me... hopefully allowing me time to reach for the mossberg.

I have at least 5000 rounds through my GEN 4 Glock 27, all of them reloads and It shoots better for me than my GEN 3 Glock 22... Maybe Im just lucky??? Its my favorite out of the 22 17 21C that I have, that 21C shoots just as good for me but it's bigger and heaver and the flash from the compensator ports could be a problem in the dark....

27s are very-very accurate. One of the most accurate compact .40s, if not the MOST.

Subcompact Glocks seem to have not been affected because they'd already been running the dual recoil springs, which seem to be causing the main problem.
