Anyone contemplating purchasing the M&P in 9mm should look into the early unlocking problems and poor accuracy issues that have plagued them. These issues don't pertain to the .40 or .45 but are a real issue in the 9mm version.
The stock M&P trigger and reset suck, however, Apex makes some outstanding parts for the M&P which help fix that issue.
That's all been well taken care of. So has the slide rusting problem and other "first born" glitches. You don't steal away all those Government contracts from GLOCK if they weren't any good! S&W +5...GLOCK -10

Really? Please show me verifiable proof and not just internet hearsay. I can point to various threads on several different forums, M4Carbine and Pistol-Forum, with subject matter experts who will back up my assertions and claims. These are professionals in the gun industry and not just Jim Bob dip**** spouting off about his favorite gun flavor of the month, I'm not referring to you by the way.

Well, as you can see. I've got FOUR good reasons right in front of you to prove they are SWEET! I can't believe the accuracy of them either. They rival my Sig P-226 and P-220! The BATF thinks so too!

A sampling of 4 means zip. Please define "good". Accuracy from what range? What are your average groupings? What are your qualifications to determine whether a particular pistol is reliable? Have you had any malfunctions of any type? Everything you've written is typical of someone who doesn't have a lot of experience with firearms from a technical stand point. I'm glad that you're happy with your puchase but that doesn't mean much when there is verifiable evidence contradicting your claims. People shoot more in a 4 day class than you have the life of your pistol.
There is no contract. This is from that exact thread you quoted and is correct by the way.
Quote:
The "contracts" awarded are simply an open invitation to all federal agencies to choose freely among the pistols mentioned without conducting their own extensive, expensive trials. No more than $40 million may be spent on either manufacturers' weapons. In other words, these particular pistols have been "approved".
I should know better than to talk firearms on a forum such as this.
Proof you can't argue logic with someone who's emotionally tired to their argument. Read the link you posted!
You've lost faith with me friend! I didn't create this thread to be some "smash and trash, bash party". That's what it's been from people who are misinformed and haven't shown me a pic of anything to back up their arguments! Keep it moving out of here so the real owners can post! Please!
I do own one. You've still never addressed how S&W dealt with the problems of inaccuracy and the early unlocking issues.
