(I think I already know the answers, and I think everything will probably just end up getting sold, but just wanted to ask). My lawyer is my executor.
One sibling lives in MA, and is gun-shy, one sibling lives in NYC and is a flaming anti-gun person.
One gun is really old, about 1860-1870, and is family heritage. I think I can just give it to the MA sibling without any legal messes. The handguns I don't think can go to either, unless the MA sibling gets a license, and forget about NYC. I think for the newer rifles I believe the MA sibling can take, though if I recall correctly he needs a really-easy-to-get rifle permit (I had one, but have no idea where it is). The mess is all the NFA stuff... I guess that all just gets sold/transferred to a dealer.
The tough part is that I am really far away from them.
Maybe I just answered my own questions.
Hey, wait a minute, are you my long lost 2nd cousin?! You should write the anti-gun New Yawker out of your will, man. Seriously!
Seriously, I certainly hope I am many years away from not being able to use the collection that I have, but my only sibling is not that much younger than me. Actually I should get a will drawn up and leave them to the 2 sons of a close friend, who actually would be worthy. Maybe set it up so they toss a coin, whoever wins the toss picks one gun, then they alternate.
An ideal situation would be if I die rich enough to have funearal games, with rifle, shotgun, and pistol shooting, all participants would then, first place winner first, pick one gun, so on down the line, shotgun shooters pick only shotguns, etc. although anyone could participate in all 3 shoots - if there are more guns than shooters, they pick again in subsequent rounds till all the gats have new homes.

I only have about four or five people in my life that I would let stuff go to when the time comes. They're the only ones who ever treated me decent. They will make out like a bandit someday. Everyone else is barkin' up the wrong tree.
