I was cleaning out a basement closet this past weekend- one that has a spot under the stairs where stuff got unloaded and forgotten for almost 11 years... So one box was really heavy. And in it was...

5 bricks of .22lr
20 boxes of .22mag
7 boxes of factory .257 Bob ($10.00 a box- I remember getting these from the old hardware store in Clarksburg WV- they were on sale)
5 or 6 boxes of 12ga buckshot, 2.75", 2-3 boxes 12ga buck 3" and 3 boxes of 20ga buckshot
3-4 boxes of 12ga #4 and #5- low brass
3-4 boxes of 12 ga slugs
5 boxes of .308win (hunting)
A big bag of brass including .257, .35rem, .30-06 and .308

Holy crap I had totally forgot about all this stuff, lol. I'm glad I've got some more plinkin ammo!

I love these stories. A couple months ago I was cleaning out a little used closet and literally stumbled on a sealed 1,000 round case of 9mm Blaser

I found a box I hadn't opened about 10 years after I moved.

Inside it was my room recycling bin, filled with stuff I had planned to recycle before moving. The movers just packed it and moved it.

Over the last 5-6 years, I’ve bought stuff and threw it in one of the many storage bins I have in my garage. After retiring at the beginning of the year, I’ve decided to finally inventory all the stuff in those bins and I came across a stash of ammo I bought 3-4 years ago.

A nice surprise to find an extra 500rds of Winchester 9mm FMJs and 500rds of Winchester .45 FMJs... I guess I bought them while they were on sale somewhere... I also found lots of gun parts and magazines that I forgot about too... I wish I would have found some extra .223!!

On a side note, I just bought a new take-down tool for my HK P7 pistol 2-3 months ago for big $$, to only find my original P7 tool last week.

If you’re a gun guy, with either a garage or a serious man cave, check it out, I’d bet you’ll find stuff you forgotten about.

Yeah, I consolidated all the parts, supplies, and ammo to two locations over Xmas. The indoor half is my man cave, with a work table and some small to larger bins for the stuff. It's a bit dull to not find any nice surprises anymore, but was nice to discover I have plenty of spare 45acp. I've hung up the irons other than dinking around with my Beretta 81 in 32acp, too see what sort of national malarkey develops.

About 10 years ago during one of the last shortages I found 13 forgotten bricks of .22 in the back of a hall closet. Gave 6 of them to two of my sons.

.
Ha, I do that too. I’ll buy some special tool I need, then find the same tool in my stuff later. I’ve got to much stuff and a bad memory.
