My husband uses Winchester primers for reloading his 45's and no one has them. It's crazy. At first he couldn't get his Nosler bullets and found a small supply for reloading but can't get the primers
He went to Walmart to buy some bullets while he tries to find primers and guess what - no ammo. The guy said in 3 months they have gotten in 6 boxes.
We called a reloading place near here and there are no primers there; they have no idea when they will get them in again.

Same here in LA, the shop said the last they had any was in Jan. They expect some in Sept.

It's not going to get better anytime soon either. Part of the problem is people panic buying, part of it is that DHS is using our tax dollars to compete with us. They've put huge ammunition orders in with the top 3 manufacturers. HUGE.

No why would DHS Need such huge orders of ammo? Here in Texas you can't get ammo anymore either. It's always sold out. I have had some luck at gun shows.

I'm watching my primer and projectile supply both dwindle with no relief in sight . Seems that when a guy DOES find primers the retailer is marking them up 200% or better. A shooter at my last match told me he saw a store charging 75 bucks a thousand . I have primers in my stores I only paid 12 a thousand for. I hope this lets up soon. The local bullet plant here is 8 months backordered as well. I'm pretty well stocked up, but I can't replace what I shoot either. It's kinda scary.

I agree. My husband was able to get some more bullets, but without more primers, they're useless.

Demand has really outstripped supply. Maybe try these guys. Precision Reloading Home They're just down the street from my office. Their online catalog says "out of stock" but you never know what a call might reveal.

I can only imagine, with this administration in charge. All I know is that their last order was around $80 billion and this one is $500 billion. Someone I know was told by a Federal "suit" not to expect any of their primers on the civilian market for close to 2 years. He's a reloader and can't even get any for himself.
Rumor has it that CCI is releasing a bunch next month and then no more for quite a while after that.
Pay cash, if you find them. The imposter-in-chief is trying hard to make our "manufacturing of ammunition" illegal.

Yep, they aren't gonna mess with our rights to bear arms, Just our rights to Load (or reload as the case my be) them.
I got a 30-30 and 12 Gauge I was thinking of doing the reloading thing on but now I'm not sure. At the prices some of these guys are getting for reloading supplies Its almost cheaper just to buy the premade stuff.
A question for some of you reloaders if I may. I have tons and tons of lead that I have been saving over the years (15-20 yrs) from old batteries, terminals, wheel weights etc... And I also have a ton of Pewter (tin, Bismuth, antimony for the new stuff, and Older pewter that is a tin/lead mix) From when I used to make pewter Jewelry, My question is, can the Pewter also be used to make bullets as well or would the Tin mixture be too hard for the Rifling in the barrel and cause scratches, does anyone know??

Last time I found primers (Winchester), they were $50 per 1000.
