So I just picked up a keltec p32 on trade. 1st gen hard chrome and black. Nice little pocket pistol. Anybody have any experience with these? I was told it has a lightened trigger and a titanium firing pin. Is the firing pin a known weak point?

I have one and carry it regularly. It's a great little point-n-shoot.

You do have to keep it clean, though. Mine starts jamming after less than 50 rounds at the range. It'll easily go through two or three clips before the first problem, though, so I'm comfortable with it as a carry weapon (as comfortable as one can be with a .32, that is).

Pros: small, light (10oz with a full clip + one in the pipe), single stack clip (less printing through clothes), inexpensive, reliable if maintained, very accurate (for what it is)

Cons: .32, jams easily when dirty, single stack clip (7+1)

Next on my "to get" list for it is a wallet holster:

Another pic, for scale:

I like that wallet holster, I haven't fired this one yet, but the guy I got it from is a very knowledgeable gun nut and if there were any issues, I'm certain they were adressed. I'd cary my glock g30 but its too big

I've been carrying mine for a year now a 2nd gen with Olive grip. Some folks love 1st gens and seek them out. Here are two good forums for Keltecs...

There is a good possibility that holster displayed with the Keltec would be against the law to use, according to ATF. The one made years ago for the High Standard derringer that can be fired while the gun is in the holster, looks good and works fine but ATF has ruled it can not be carried concealed (Yes, a dumb law), but they make the rules. I've read their reasoning, if you can call it that, but can't remember.

For concealed carry I use a Crossbreed Holster and carry a Kimber Ultra Carry in 45 ACP. I do own a Keltec in 380 caliber (which is more powerful than a 32) but still it isn't powerful enough to stop a person bent on doing you harm.

Nite, a well placed shot with a .22 is deadly.
Next for me, for a purchase, is a g36, but as long as they keep coming on trade, I'm up for almost anything lol.

Can someone tell me what is so desirable about the 1st gen p32?

This one's been cleared:

I've read the law you're talking about, and it's supposed to make illegal any gun that's disguised as something else. A good example is the "briefcase machine gun". Since all the major components of the gun (barrel, slide, trigger) are visible with this holster, it passed the test. There are other, similar products that didn't, but this one's clear.
