I definitely prefer LONG HAIR on a woman.

Long hair looks sexy. Long hair is a symbol of feminine beauty. Long hair has always been associated with youth, beauty, sexiness, attractiveness and desirability in all forms of art, fashion and motion pictures.

Short hair can be attractive, but the woman MUST have other qualities to make it so like she must be - VERY feminine, VERY dainty (i.e., small/thin/fit), young, and she must have proper shaped head for it. Like Halle Berry or the woman who plays "Anna" in the new TV series "V".

It depends on the woman. Some look great with short hair, and some with long hair.

Lao has pretty much said everything I was thinking of. Long hair to me is a more attractive quality on a woman. Its not to say that short hair is necessarily unattractive though. Alot of it depends on body build, age, and what not. Every woman is different.

Im sure you'll get 12+ pages of responses if you put this thread in the "Relatioships" forum.

Thing is, you'll get probably the exact some info from all the men there that they prefer long hair on a woman.

I agree. I'm used to seeing long hair on attractive women, so I definitely still find it attractive, but if she's attractive overall I can find a woman with short hair just as attractive. Many of the models back in the 60s had short hair, like Edie Sedgewick or Mia Farrow, and I don't think it detracted from their attractiveness one bit.

Speaking for my husband, he loves long hair. I just recently cut off 14 inches, and donated it. It's red, and now is near my tailbone. He doesn't want me to cut it short. (I'm 45, ) My hair is not stringy, it's coarse and thick. When I gave birth to my girl, 13 years ago, I had it cut into a bob, hubby didn't like it.

Like Hank Hill said "its like short hair on a pretty girl, just not right". Having long hair is prettier and more feminine. I think shorter hair looks more normal on old ladies though, old women with really long hair looks kinda strange. By old I mean senior citizens.
