I'll admit I'm from a time when both women & men were well groomed with combed hair. In "my day" a girl or guy wouldn't be caught dead with a rats nest of a hairdo. It was styled and combed neat and clean. Folk's back then actually cared how they looked in public. Now slovenly is the fashion........

I've noted that even movie stars look like they just crawled out of bed not bothering to wash, shave or comb their hair!! I've not seen a younger person in a long time that even knew what a comb was much less what it was for.

The trend today seems to be to look like you some kind of a bum who has no manners or character at all.

WHY???

There was also an earlier time when people had matted hair, wore filthy animal skins, and used clubs for weapons and lived in caves... I think we are just returning to the good old days.

It's referred to as "sex hair" or "bed head." Something to do with the appeal of looking like you just got it on.

I dunno, can't do it with my hair so it's not my thing.

hey, it's a lot of work to get your hair to LOOK like you just got out of bed!
It has to be shampooed, dried, curling ironed[ not the ends!] fingered, product applied to roots, second product applied to ends. There....bedhead.

Our 5 sons get haircuts every 3 weeks or so. My youngest son who is 6 can't stand it if his hair is out of place. I put some jell in it the other day before he went to school. He tells me it isn't right, he wants it all combed down.

Our daughter who is 4 has never had a haircut. She had long flowing slightly curly hair that is nearly past her back. My wife wants to cut it because she is afraid our daughter will have an accident involving her hair and the toilet. LOL My wife won't let her out untill her hair is in place, brushed and looking like a little lady.
