The haircut doesn't make her look older to me but the weight gain and gravity does.

Regardless of her hair length, I don't think blonde works for her. I think she'd look great as a brunette or with slightly reddish hair

That's what I thought too.
She had this short cut while still on Friends, but it was a darker shade of brown.. which looked good.
