My hair right now is a brown-black and I would like to add a subtle tint...which of these shades do you think I should try?

Do you have a warm skin tone or a cool one? I'd recommend Manic Panic over this brand. If you have cool toned skin, dark hair looks amazing with Ultraviolet applied as a tint. If you have warm toned skin, something like Pillarbox red would work.

Blood red is nice. I have used it. My skin can go either way but looks best with warmer tones. Get a black pillowcase though when using MP or these. They can rub off sometimes. And definitely leave it on your hair a lot longer than the package says. It is just a stain so it won't hurt it. BUT...do a test strip if you relax your hair and the next time you relax you hair just to be careful the relaxer does not interact with anything. It shouldnt...but better safe than sorry.

A friend of mine with straight dark brown short hair has a slight purple tint in her hair--it's very pretty. She has a cool, fair skin tone.
