I have a good friend who is naturally blonde and in his 30s. We were out the other night and some girl started talking to me (I am gay) so I directed her to my blonde straight friend. They shot the breeze and when she left, he had an odd look on his face. The girl told her that she thought blonde hair was cute on little boys, but that "blonde men age badly".
That's a pretty catty and mean thing to say in a social situation to a person who IS blonde! Yikes. However....I can think of many examples not only among people I know, but in the celebrity world too. Such as: Robert Redford, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Nick Nolte, Gary Busey, Donald Trump, Barry Manilow, Gordon Ramsay, Christopher Walken, and even Prince William.
Yeah I think that was mean thing to say..I have never really thought about it but I am in my 30's too and gay,but have dark hair as Im mixed white and Hispanic...My mom always told me growing up that dark skinned people age better than light skinned and blonde. In my adult world I have ever thought about it. I kind of like blonde guys though too. I would not worry about it though... If someone like you or dislikes you based on hair color I mean come on!
I think blondes age well, as someone else mentioned, grey hair is not as noticeable mixed in with blonde.
I have a son that will be 41 soon and he has been a toe head all his life. I'm sure he has some grey hairs, but I can't see them.
Robert Redford was in the sun a lot, one reason why he hasn't aged all that well. But, I still think he's handsome with his character lines.

LOL! People and their 'connections' based on small samples. I don't see, nor have I read on here the connection between blond hair and aging - studies anyone?
People with lower melanin in their skin will age faster if they are in the sun for long periods of time - but that has to do with sun exposer and is not directly related to blond hair. There are plenty of blond people who have avoided sun exposer either through mere absence or sun protection that age very well.

Have you heard this?
I'm generally not attracted to blonde men, but I would say being directed to the nearest straight guy is kind of a put-off in itself. lol
