My shoulder length hair is fine and thinning--it is so slippery that rollers won't stay in it. Can't use Velcro rollers because they pull my hair out. Wire brush types don't stay in even with pins and clips. Any suggestions?
I understand...my hair is short, fine, thinning and straight. I put curlers (5) only on the top of my head, at night,
and use the curling iron on the sides, bangs and back in the morning. I use the plastic green rollers that have
a "cover" to put over the curler, but hair will still slide out if I don't use the big bobby pins to connect each of the rollers
to the other...then it stays better.
Who is the moderator here, please?
Someone attached that ad for thinning hair to my original post and I do not appreciate it! I want it removed please.
If you take thin cheesecloth strips and wrap that with the hair and then clip it with gator clips it can help grip plus it doesn't dent your hair as much. You basically want something breathable that you can put a pin in if needed. Giant rollers always slide out of my hair unless I wrap a nylon loop lengthwise while it dries.

You could wrap your head (after putting rollers in it) with a light fabric/scarf and pin it till its dries.
