Considering all the younger women I see with thinning hair, I would think about how much I wanted to have hair when I get older. At 61, I have more hair than women 1/2 my age. I read many years ago to do the minimum even with combing and brushing if you wanted to help keep your hair. I see women brushing their hair like it was a tangled horse tail. I know it has some to do with heredity but I avoid all the chemicals that I can and it seems to be working.

I THINK I want to dye it....any advice? I wanted to go reddish, but I've been advised by an experienced hair dyer not to do that in the summer. I don't want really high maintenance upkeep, and I don't like when roots look terrible growing out.

Should I do it? If so, color suggestions?
Why don't you invest in hair chalks, choose the colors you think you would like your hair to be & see if it suits you. If you don't like it you can shampoo it out and start again until you find something that your really like.
Me, I have never dyed my hair and could never be bothered.
